Two articles in the upstate New York publication The Daily News highlight a local student’s submission to the AFS Project: Change contest. Levi, an eighth grader from Perry High School, created his own volunteer project idea that focuses on preserving the natural biodiversity in New Zealand, one of the seven featured Project: Change destinations.
You can find out more about Levi’s unique project idea in The Daily News articles here and here.
Levi, like the hundreds of other students who entered the Project: Change contest, is seeking votes for his submission. All entrants who have received 50 or more votes by the Jan. 10, 2018 deadline will advance to the final judging round. The Grand Prize winner will receive a full scholarship to go abroad and bring their vision to life on a customized AFS program inspired by their idea. Four additional winners will also be awarded full scholarships to join in the winning project.
Support young change-makers like Levi by voting for your favorite projects from now until Jan. 10 and sharing your top entries on social media with the hashtag #afsprojectchange. You can vote for as many different projects as you want, but only once per project, per day.
