As you may have heard, an incident occurred in lower Manhattan on Monday, October 30, that resulted in numerous casualties. A man drove a truck along a popular pedestrian/bike path, killing 8 and injuring 11. The suspect has been detained and the situation is being controlled by law enforcement.

We have confirmed that all students hosted in the New York City area are safe. Additionally, no AFS-USA Staff or Volunteers in the area have been impacted, as far as we know. We will keep you updated as needed.
