AFS Days are coming up on April 5 & 6! We’re asking everyone in the AFS community to share the power of exchange during this celebration, with a special focus on recruiting host parents for our many exchange students arriving this year. There are numerous ways to get involved in AFS Days – from tabling at events, wearing your AFS shirt, or posting on social media, please encourage every AFSer in your area to share the power of AFS with the world! To help you make the most of AFS Days, you can order free promotional materials from us in advance (use passcode afsvolunteer to access), as well as use your SP/Team funds for a special AFS Day event!
Saturday, April 6 is also National Library Day, and what better way to pass peace forward than to engage your local library? Libraries offer an abundance of options for outreach – you could set up an AFS table in the lobby, drop off flyers and bookmarks, give a presentation to a community group, or leave bookmarks in your local Little Free Library!
Please reach out to us at marketing@afsusa.org with any questions or concerns.
Thank you for participating!
P.S. Interested in a creative project for AFS Days? Consider building a Little Free Library, painting it AFS colors, and leaving bookmarks! This is a fun and easy way to promote intercultural connection and encourage young readers to explore the world. Instructions for how to build an AFS Free Library can be found here.
