Sponsor an AFSer is a great tool for students to fundraise for their program! It is a free online fundraising tool to allow individuals to make contributions to the participants’ program fee. All the participant must do is create a blog, add a widget and send it to their network of family and friends who would like to donate to reach their goal. Note: This cannot be a tax deduction due to the individual donating to a specific participant and not the organization. To learn more about the fundraising tool, please check out our frequently asked questions on Sponsor an AFSer.
Feel Good Videos:
At the end of each cycle, the Scholarship Team requires all scholarship recipients to complete a post-program essay to reflect on their experience abroad. This time we have decided to switch it up and request AFSers create a video instead of writing an essay. Let me say, they are simply wonderful videos! Here are two great videos – check them out and use them to promote AFS programs!
- Sophia M. – Susquehanna Valley Area Team – Year to Italy (Speedwell Scholarship)
- Kameron B. – Greater Chicago Area Team – Global Prep to Ghana (Faces of America)
