Get to know Jula from Germany:
Jula is a friendly and outgoing student from Germany. She lives with her parents, her cat, and two guinea pigs, while her sister attends university in another city. In her free time she enjoys playing soccer often, rock climbing, as well as theater practice. Jula is also interested in photography and medicine. When possible, she goes to the animal shelter in her city to spend time with some of the dogs. She also enjoys cooking and hopes to cook some German meals for her family! Jula can’t wait to be immersed in the culture of the U.S. and is looking forward to meeting her new host family!
Get to know Cristobal from Chile:
Cristobal’s outgoing and positive character keeps him upbeat, energetic and resilient. He lives in a small town, is close to parents and friends, and is engaged in several sports both in and outside school. He and his friends created a climbing wall as a school project and together they play guitar. His parents say he is talkative, adventurous and fun loving. He discusses with them rules about letting them know where he is and with whom. He hopes to improve his English so that he can fulfill his dream of being a commercial pilot. Cristobal is excited to experience life in a different culture!
Get to know Fayiz from Jordan:
Meet Fayiz from Jordan, a hardworking, studious young man with an entrepreneurial spirit. An avid chess player, he has even won awards in local competitions! Fayiz enjoys boxing and describes himself as a huge fan of Muhammad Ali. A man with a scientific mind, he plans to study biological or aerospace engineering in college and eventually open his own business. Fayiz wants to use his time in the U.S. to broaden his horizons and explore new interests and activities, including volunteering. He looks forward to sharing his culture with his host family. Arrival to the H.F. community August 16th.
