Meet two future AFSers who will be arriving in the U.S. this fall!
Micheal from Egypt:
It is no surprise Micheal from Egypt is interested in English, both of his parents are English teachers! He is Christian and attends church every Friday with his parents and two younger brothers. He is thankful his grandmother lives in his building and offers to help her each day. Micheal is outdoorsy and loves appreciating the nature surrounding his city and reading about the Earth and animals. In school, Micheal writes for the newspaper, plays chess and billiards, and especially likes math and science. In the future, he hopes to become a civil engineer!
Basel from Jordan:
Meet Basel, a positive, hardworking and driven student from Jordan. He has a wide range of interests from drawing, to badminton, to software engineering. His favorite? Computer science and programming! Basel sees how dependent society is on technology and likes keeping up to date by designing and publishing his own applications. He loves his “awesome” city, especially all of the smiling and happy people, but looks forward to experiencing the U.S. He never wants to stop learning and envisions himself as a neurosurgeon. Basel can’t wait to meet you!
