Dear AFS-USA Volunteers,

As the holidays approach and some students begin to think about traveling during school breaks, we’d like to draw your attention to the new process for travel waivers.

Please note that the AFS Travel Department is implementing a new process for volunteers to submit requests for Travel Waiver and Parental Permission forms. This is in hopes of making the waiver requests easier and more efficient for all involved!

We have created a Jotform into which we request travel details be entered. These details include information of the student as well as the who/where/why/when/how’s of the travel. Note that this form is to be used for Hosted Participants only and is NOT applicable for Belo travel.

Once volunteers submit the Jotform, AFS Travel Staff will reach out to the requester regarding next steps for processing the waiver. In some cases, staff may also request additional information.
