President Xi Jinping of China announced last Fall that China is ready to invite 50,000 young Americans on exchange to China in the next 5 years to strengthen the one-to-one relationships between the Chinese and American people. To celebrate this announcement, Xie Feng, Chinese Ambassador to the US and the Chinese embassy recently held an event promoting this exchange and Tara Hofmann was one of the panelists. In the spirit of this initiative, and our long and positive relationship with AFS-China, AFS-USA is reengaging with our programs to China and would like to highlight these programs in our recruitment campaigns.
