Featured Scholarship

Vaya a América Latina Scholarship is a scholarship available to students that are interested in studying abroad to Central/South American countries for a 4-8-week summer, semester, or year program.

  • 2-4 scholarships are awarded
  • $2,000 scholarships
  • Countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay or Peru
  • Deadline: March 14, 2019
  • Scholarships recipients may combine Vaya a América Latina Scholarship with other scholarships such as Global Leaders need-based aid

Cultural Explorer Scholarship

This year, the Cultural Explorer Scholarship will not be offered to year program applicants traveling to destinations “off the beaten path.” Encourage your students to apply for the Helen “Peggie” Miller and Pride Scholarship! This $5,000 scholarship is available to students applying for the semester or year program.

Scholarship Webinars- Study Abroad Outreach Competition

Starting this month, the Scholarships and Diversity Initiatives team will host a series of webinars to share and better inform Volunteers and Staff about AFS-USA’s national scholarship opportunities, creating and enhancing local area team scholarships, and recruiting diverse applicants. Register now to join one or all three of the upcoming webinars.  A friendly reminder, by attending the webinar(s), Volunteers earn 20 points each towards the Study Abroad Outreach Competition.
