We’re happy to announce that the 10 for 10 Challenge is back again, and will take place this year from February 27 to March 8. As student applications come in from partner countries around the world, we have an amazing opportunity to welcome new families into our global community!
Starting Tuesday, February 27, our goal is to find host families for 10 international students per day for 10 days straight. (That’s 100 life-changing experiences!) We know the dedicated AFS Family can do that and more. In fact, last year we exceeded our placement goal!
For each day of the 10 for 10 Challenge, we’ll be reaching out with fun and easy ways to connect with potential host families. We’ll provide new tools and resources to help you complete the daily challenge, which should take just five to 15 minutes.
There will be 3 easy ways to find out each day’s challenge:
- An email in your inbox each morning
- A message in MyAFS, in the banner at the top of the screen
- A post in the AFS-USA Hosting Volunteers group on Facebook, where you can ask questions and share ideas
We’ll be sending out challenges to hosted students, too, so feel free to partner up to get more people involved!
During this initiative, we’ll acknowledge the new families who have signed up to host for the 2018-2019 school year on our “Wall of Fame,” as well as the volunteers and/or hosted students who made the placements possible. Make sure to check the Field Hub regularly to see who made a difference in your area!
