As we shift gears toward SH20 placements, we wish to make hosting volunteers and placement teams aware that the first SH20 students have been distributed. Additional students/applications will be distributed as they are approved.

While we still have 5 NH19 students left to place, we also understand that many school placements for SH20 January 2020 start are time-sensitive. So, we want to ensure that teams that are working on SH20 placements have the opportunity to secure those while they are available.

Please find some helpful information regarding SH20 placements below:

• All students will be nationally viewable/available immediately upon distribution
• SH20 student FPC placement cut-off date will be Dec 12, 2019
• Program arrival/start date for SH20 is Jan 16, 2020 (in the case of those students with disabilities, arrival to host communities is Jan 17)
• When placed, all students will be flown directly to final destination (host distribution site) by partners
  • Excepting YES students who will fly first to their Sponsored Programs orientation (Jan 14) and then to host community on Jan 16, 2020
• SH20 students’ departure date will mirror those of their YP counterparts from NH19
