The nomination period for the prestigious AFS International Volunteer Awards, the Galatti Award and the Peggy and Art Howe Award, will close on June 30, 2019. Talk to your team leaders about nominating worthy volunteers today.
The Galatti Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service honors AFS Volunteers whose commitment and dedication to the organization have advanced the mission and goals of AFS. This award is an opportunity to honor volunteers who are long-time AFS role models and inspire other generations to volunteer.
More information is available on MyAFS Help & Learning here, and if you are ready to nominate, you can submit a Galatti nomination here by June 30.
The Peggy and Art Howe Award honors multiple members of a family actively volunteering with AFS-USA. With this award, we want to honor our families of volunteers while remembering Peggy and Art Howe, an exceptional couple who advanced the mission and goals of AFS, both within the organization and in society at large. Though there are many examples of ways that the Howes supported diversity and inclusion, there are many different ways of interpreting diversity and inclusion. Tell us about how your favorite family of AFS Volunteers promotes diversity, inclusion, and the AFS mission.
More information is available on MyAFS Help & Learning here, and if you are ready to nominate, you can submit a Howe nomination here by June 30.
