The National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) deadline is Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 4 pm ET. Summer and academic year scholarships to go abroad, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, are available. Students can apply to study Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia, Chinese (Mandarin), Hindi, Korean, Persian (Tajiki), Russian and Turkish.
