The National Council is a leadership body including both volunteer and staff members. Since announcing a change in focus and organization at last year’s NVA, the National Council has made exciting progress in the evolution towards a ‘work group’ structure focused on advancing AFS-USA’s strategic and organizational priorities. Volunteer leadership, diversity and inclusion, a new competency-based process for the selection of work group and Board members, the hosting ‘end game’, and the Strategic Plan 2.0 have all been part of the mix.
We will be sharing our progress at the AFS Summit, to be held in Cleveland on April 20-22 this year. Current volunteer membership of the National Council is listed below. Please feel free to reach out to any member with questions.
Deb Maly, Chair: Milwaukee Team (WI), debra.maly@afsusa.org
