You know the kind of volunteer we’re talking about.

Dedicated. Reliable. Creative. Passionate. Patient. Persistent. AFS-USA volunteers are dynamic and different, but they all have one thing in common: they spend precious time and energy making meaningful connections between people.

We know that volunteers don’t do it for the awards, but it sure feels good to be recognized. Help us celebrate volunteers! The Volunteer Recognition Committee is now accepting nominations for all volunteer awards through July 15, 2026.

Talk to other volunteers in your team to collaborate and make sure that someone else isn’t already planning to nominate the volunteer you have in mind.

We hope you will look among the volunteer heroes in your teams who could be nominated for any of these prestigious awards. The nomination period runs from June 3 to July 15, 2026.  Happy nominating!
