Earlier this month, George Washington University (GWU) published a profile featuring their new president, Thomas LeBlanc. The Passing of AFS Returnee and Former Thai Foreign Minister, Surin Pitsuwan

Surin Pitsuwan, 68, died of a heart attack earlier this month. He was best known for his work as minister of foreign affairs in Thailand and as a human rights activist. Pitsuwan was also an AFS Returnee who studied abroad in the U.S. between 1967 and 1968 in Minnesota. Read his obituary on The New York Times and The Nation.

The Institute of International Education Publishes Annual Open Doors Report
