Like many of our dedicated Volunteers, John held a multitude of positions with the Alleghany Highlands Area Team. The mission of AFS was a passion of his for many years.

Fellow Volunteer, Karen Treber, shared that John “was a friend and AFS partner, who spent years bringing hundreds of students from all over the world to our little rural corner of Maryland and Pennsylvania. John always made us laugh and the kids loved him!”
