Preferred Names for Hosted Students in the Teams Widget

Preferred names (entered by the Sending Partner) that are listed in Global Link are now visible in the Teams Widget and in the Hosted Student Directory!

Monthly Discussion Guides- Easier to Find

There is now a link to the Monthly Discussion Guides right in MyAFS. During the course of the exchange, Host Families and Participants can be expected to go through a cycle of adjustment. Though each person’s experience is unique, it is important, as a liaison, to predict what the participant and his/her host family may be going through at certain times. These are the topics that should be addressed during the monthly contact sessions.

Monthly Discussion Guides are designed to guide liaisons through their monthly check-ins with participants and host families by providing an outline of questions to ask and topics to discuss at certain points throughout the exchange.

Monthly Discussion Guides are still hosted on Help & Learning, but you can now also access them right from the top of the Contacts Timeline in MyAFS!
