BridgeUSA, the Department of State’s J1 Visa Program, has created a new filter on Instagram to encourage current students and alumni to share their exchange stories!

We’re encouraging current exchange students and alumni to share their story on social media using this filter!  When using it, a random prompt will appear on their screen to answer about their exchange experience, such as:

1. What is the best part of this exchange?
2. What have you accomplished?
3. How has this experience impacted your life?

Instructions to use the filter:

1. Open the Instagram app on your mobile device
2. Go to the @ExchangeOurWorld profile
3. Tap on the Effects Tab (appears as 3 stars)
4. You will find the filter, “Msg from BridgeUSA!”
5. Tap on the filter and then tap “Try it”

Students are encouraged to post their video responses as an Instagram story or reel, and tag @ExchangeOurWorld and @afs_usa so that we can see and share their responses!
