Next week, you can support students and alumni as they spread intercultural understanding in your community! 

From November 17-21, AFS-USA is celebrating Global Learning Week (GLW) — an initiative that empowers AFSers to start a dialogue about the power of exchange. As an AFS Volunteer, you can participate in GLW by supporting students as they share their culture and AFS experience with classmates, teachers, and community members.  

Here are some ways to get involved: 

• Encourage hosted students and recent study abroad alumni in your area to give presentations in classrooms and community spaces – details have been sent to them via email. Educators and schools can get involved, too! 

• Spread the word – host an intercultural gathering, share your story on social media (and tag us), or table at an event. 

• Wear your AFS T-shirt and post AFS materials around your community.
