Do you know someone who grew up in an AFS host family and is now an adult? They may be eligible to participate in a research study exploring the experiences and long-term impact of hosting an international exchange student.
Participants must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have attended middle and/or high school in the United States
- Have lived in their primary residence with an international exchange student for at least one month during that time
The initial survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey, participants may also choose to participate in a voluntary 30-minute virtual interview at a later date.

The study is being conducted by researchers at George Washington University under the direction of Dr. Bernhard Streitwieser.
