Every year, schools that host a U.S. Department of State scholarship recipient through the YES, FLEX, and CBYX program are named Medallion Member Schools. This year, we are excited to announce that the official certificates with a seal from the U.S. Deparment of State arrived earlier than in the past so they are arriving to our sponsored programs students’ mailboxes this week! It is our hope that together with their host family, liaisons, and other AFS-USA volunteers, that these students can share both the impact that this year’s experience has had on them, but also the impact that they have had on the local community and school showing the two-way nature of an AFS hosting experience.

Please join us in supporting these students in securing a meeting with the principal, speaking at a school board meeting/faculty meeting/PTO meeting, or finding another creative way to share their story and the certificate with school leaders.
