Dear Volunteers,

Your belief in our mission is why you volunteer with AFS and together we are creating a more just and peaceful world. Thanks to you over 1,200 students were welcomed to the U.S. over the past two days to start their AFS journey, which will have a lasting impact on the communities where they are hosted.

These students will build bridges of understanding that are desperately needed in today’s world. With just 3 weeks until the Department of State deadline, we have 395 students from 44 countries who still need host families.

If you are wondering if there is one thing you can do to make an impact, please consider becoming a welcome family and hosting a student for up to 12 weeks.

Many families are surprised when they learn that hosting a student is an experience that not only changes the life of a student, but their own lives as well. If you have hosted before, you know what I mean.
