AFS-USA is kicking off our 5 for 5 Hosting Campaign this week! Our goal? Find host families for every exchange student arriving this fall.

“5 for 5” is our latest hosting campaign with the goal of finding host families across the US for all our students arriving this fall. Starting today, AFS-USA staff members and volunteers have received five simple challenges to do each day this week, amounting to five impactful days of host family recruitment! By completing each challenge, you’ll be helping to secure host families for our exchange students and promoting AFS in your community. 

Here are the five challenges you can complete this week:

Day 1 – Monday, July 10: Craft a message using this template, sharing your personal AFS story. If you don’t have one that you’d like to share, utilize the sample in the template. 

Day 2 – Tuesday, July 11: Add your message to a social media group, on NextDoor, or another community forum. Send us a screenshot at marketing@afsusa.org if you’d like to win some AFS swag! 

Day 3 – Wednesday, July 12: Text your message to 5 people using this template. 

Day 4 – Thursday, July 13: Share information about an upcoming hosting info session with your network – email, text, post on social media!  

Day 5 – Friday, July 14: Nominate a host using this form – think of those in your community who may make great hosts!
