End of Stay orientations are fast approaching for many teams, as you plan your event be sure to reference all the helpful materials in the Orientation section of Help & Learning.

Discussions at EOS focus on what students have learned, how they have changed during their exchange, and what lessons they should be taking home with them. Students should be encouraged to review their entire experience, while also thinking about the future and preparing for the challenges they may face adjusting to being back home.

This is also a great time to focus on gratitude, encourage students to focus on who helped them throughout the year and how they might show appreciation for all the support they received. The AFS Gratitude Toolkit provides some great ideas and suggestions for activities to do with the group, that express heartfelt appreciation to those who made the journey possible.
