We hope that this finds you and your families all doing well. Here is an update on our #ChaptersSupportingAFSUSA, an initiative suggested by April Murphy that we have put into motion. I am grateful for those who have stepped forward to contribute funds at a time when AFS-USA really needs your support. Thanks to those teams and chapters below, the #ChaptersSupportingAFSUSA effort is more than halfway to its goal of securing $100,000–just over $65,000 to date.
These funds, which are listed below, are a source of great encouragement to all. At a time in which our very survival is at stake, we cannot thank you enough for your collective spirit of support. We are especially grateful to the Arizona Team, who has committed an additional $2,000 if 10 or more chapters give $2,000 each, and to the Missouri Gateway (MOGY) Team, which will give an additional $1,000 if 8 or more of the neighboring 15 Southeast teams give $2,000 each.
We encourage all chapters and teams to consider giving to AFS-USA during this time. We’ve recently received emails from a number of teams and chapters who are still making decisions on participating; please direct any questions you may have about the campaign to Jonathan Gross at Jgross@afsusa.org and help us reach our $100,000 goal by December 1st.
