The Arts Center welcomes international and local volunteers to support its work. It presents a range of visual arts exhibitions in its gallery space and organizes creative workshops and classes for children, young people, and adults. In addition, the Arts Center is involved in the organization of concerts, poetry readings, and dance performances. Volunteers generally help with the organization and facilitation of arts workshops. They are also expected to support the work of the Arts Center in other areas such as event promotion, marketing, social media, and general administration. The Arts Center also works in partnership with several other local projects in the arts sector and volunteers may have the opportunity to get involved by supporting the orchestration of a concert or festival. Gain unique, valuable insights into the Irish Arts sector, as well as project and event management skills!
Support the mission of a well-established, international women’s empowerment organization in the friendly city of Cork. The organization’s purpose is to offer long-lasting solutions that enable women to break the cycle of poverty. It supports disadvantaged women by providing them clothes, styling, and suiting advice, as well as personal coaching and career support to help them secure gainful employment. Volunteer areas include evaluating clothes donations, operating the boutique, providing styling assistance, visual merchandising, and overseeing our social media and public relations.
This sustainable farming and café project is located about forty-five minutes from Cork, Ireland’s second largest city. The farm is focused on engaging international volunteers in agricultural and environmental work. The project strives to create farming and gardening methods that sustain the natural environment. The summer months will place more emphasis on gardening work – maintaining the organic vegetable garden and surrounding fields. The winter months will include tree planting, maintenance of paths and stone walls, and gathering firewood. Rainy days would be spent indoors painting, woodworking, and conducting general household maintenance. Volunteers can decide what work they enjoy the most and take on specific tasks.
