Some teams will not be able to hold in-person Orientations (PDO) for outbound students and we need volunteers, to co-facilitate and serve as panelists on our virtual PDOs – we need your valuable insight and experience!

Pre-Departure orientations are an essential element in the journey for our students going abroad; having the opportunity to meet with other fellow AFSers, returnees and sending parents is invaluable to starting their experience off with as much support as possible. Please consider volunteering or recruiting volunteers for one of the following:

• We need Returnees to share their stories and offer wisdom on some keys to success
• We need Sending Parents/Guardians of returnees, to share their insights with the Parents/Guardians of our participants going abroad, the tips and tricks to being a sending parent!
• Volunteers – we need your help delivering the essential orientation content and fostering engaging conversation between the students, returnees and parents – you are the experts!
