An animated short by a former KL-YES student from Malaysia, Soon King Yaw, was selected as the opening film for the KQED Homemade Film Festival out of 500 submissions! KQED is the PBS and NPR station in San Francisco. The film addresses discrimination against Asians during the COVID-19 pandemic.
