A recorded guide on Writing Student Bios is now available for volunteers who want to learn more about this important part of welcoming AFS students. The guide walks through best practices, examples, and tips to help you confidently write engaging bios for incoming students. If you enjoy writing, storytelling, or have marketing or communications experience, this is a great opportunity to support students arriving in Fall 2026. We’re currently inviting volunteers to sign up as National Bio Writers and help create short, meaningful bios that introduce students to potential host families. It’s a fun, flexible way to contribute to the AFS mission on your own schedule.
