AFS-USA Virtual Ramadan Iftar #3

AFS-USA Virtual Ramadan Iftar #3

The following email was sent to hosted students who remain in the U.S. Volunteers and Host Families are also welcome to attend!

Ramadan Kareem! Ramadan Mubarak! Happy Ramadan!

Ramadan is a month-long celebration on the ninth month of the Islamic Calendar where observers fast from sunrise to sunset. Every evening Muslims around the world break their fast with an “Iftar” that concludes the day’s fast with friends and family.

AFS-USA would like to invite you to a virtual Iftar for both Muslim and non-Muslim AFSers. Whether or not you are Muslim or are fasting, this will be an opportunity to connect with other AFSers who are currently in the U.S. If your host family would like to join us in these celebrations, we welcome you to share your screen with them.

When: May 13, 2020 07:30 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)

Register in advance for this meeting:

Please bring something to eat or drink to symbolize the breaking of the fast.

This is a time for us to celebrate and share our culture! Thank you! Shukran! We hope to see you all there!
