The Arrival Orientation Help & Learning page has been updated with the most up to date information and materials for teams to conduct their Arrival Orientations
With early arrivals coming in this week, we wanted to provide a few reminders for Area Teams as they prepare for this exciting time.
- Remember ALL students must receive an Arrival Orientation within 7 days of their arrival to the U.S.
- If you have individual students arriving to your team before the Aug 10 arrival group, please give them an individual overview of the Orientation material and the option to also attend the in-person or virtual Arrival Orientation you are holding for the main group arriving on or around Aug 10 so they can participate in the activities with their peers.
- Similarly, Sponsored Programs students arriving at a different time to the larger group must be given an individual Arrival Orientation and the option to attend the main Arrival Orientation event if it is happening after their arrival.
- If you have relationships with other area teams close by who are providing virtual orientations to individuals arriving early, feel free to combine them into one call.
Please contact Martha mfriend@afsusa.org with any orientation questions.
