We are excited to announce the launch of our 2025 program applications and scholarships! Launched last year, our new initiative called Global Citizen Scholarships and Aid (GCSA) has expanded the opportunity to all students to study abroad and change their lives through our meaningfully powerful experiences. In fact, $1,037,995 of aid was provided to 117 students in 2024’s year, semester, and summer program students! 

We encourage you to visit and share the study abroad and scholarships webpages where interested students and their parents can learn more about the application process, view open programs, and get started on their AFS journey.  

AFS Global Citizen Scholarships & Aid, through the help of generous donors, offers students $1 million dollars in merit and need-based scholarships that range from partial to full program fees for summer, semester, and yearlong AFS-USA study abroad programs, based on the demonstrated financial need of our accepted applicants. As an AFS volunteer, we encourage you to share these scholarship opportunities to study abroad with students, families, educators, and others in your community, using resources shared below.
