Launch of Global Citizen Scholarship and Aid Process

The Study Abroad Team and Study Abroad Advisory Group are pleased and honored to have launched the new Global Citizen Scholarship and Aid process. Through input from students, parents/guardians, and volunteers, and with the help of our Marketing, Development, and IT staff, we’ve launched an application journey that ensures that all applicants have simple and straightforward access to the scholarship and aid application process, helping them achieve their study abroad goals and that no applicant chooses not to move forward because of fees and cost.

We held two national calls for all volunteers this week which were very successful! Thank you so much to all those who joined us, we were thrilled and greatly appreciative of the positive responses and feedback! The calls from this past week are to be the first in a series of national calls geared toward building relationships, communication, brainstorming, and collaboration among study abroad volunteers across the country, but the Study Abroad Advisory Group would like to encourage any volunteer involved with the promotion of AFS-USA Study Abroad programs to attend.

Please find a link to the recorded presentation here, and a PDF of the presentation attached here to learn more about the details of this new process. Also, please check out this MyAFS News post with newly updated resources from our Marketing team!

Please also take some time to complete this survey, which our Study Abroad Advisory Group will be using to steer future national conversations about study abroad!
