The Role of the Compliance Coordinator: A Pillar of Organizational Compliance

The Role of the Compliance Coordinator: A Pillar of Organizational Compliance

Within the organization, there exists a crucial volunteer role that often operates behind the scenes, quietly helping to ensure adherence to regulations, policies, and standards—the Compliance Coordinator.

Compliance Coordinators have a profound impact on the organization’s compliance landscape, playing a pivotal role in the organization’s integrity, reputation, and long-term sustainability. Yet, often, the significance of this position can be overlooked. Therefore, we would like to share the first NH23 Compliance Coordinator Newsletter, in the hope to not only raise the profile of this critical volunteer role but also attract dynamic and dedicated volunteers to fortify our compliance efforts.

It is our belief that by understanding and appreciating the role Compliance Coordinators play, we can collectively ensure our commitment to compliance and showcase that area teams that have designated CC’s bring indispensable value to their teams and the organization. If you would like to join us by becoming a Compliance Coordinator, please email compliance@afsusa.org for more details and you too will see first-hand the profound impact the role has on our organization’s success because compliance is not just a department but a mindset that permeates every facet of our organization.

30-60 Day In-Home Visits

Keep an eye out!

Most students who arrived during 1st Arrivals in August have 60-Day In-Home Visits due the first week of October. Be sure to remind your team to contact students & host families to schedule & complete these visits. For any students who are in a Welcome or Temporary placement, an in-home visit must be made within 30 days of arrival and within 30 days thereafter until the student moves to another placement. If you have not already done so, utilize the In-Home Visitor widget on MyAFS to assign the responsible party for each student. The original interviewer for the host family cannot also complete the 30-60 Day In-Home contact.
