Today is the day you can show your support for causes and organizations you care about. Whether it’s advocating for an issue, sharing a skill, or donating, everyone has something to give and every act of generosity counts!
We are gearing up for the NSLI-Y and YES Abroad NH22 candidate interview season, which will take place this December through February!
As we close out IEW, check out these photos and join us for a virtual event today to hear presentations from a YES or FLEX student.
Revised Mid-Year Orientation materials are now available in MyAFS!
This Thanksgiving, I’m looking forward to reflecting on the important things (and especially people) in my life. I’ll also be feeling a great sense of gratitude to all of the volunteers, staff, host families, donors, students, schools, and community members who’ve made it possible for AFS-USA to weather the storm of a global pandemic. Not only am I grateful for what you’ve helped us achieve but I am also very proud of how resilient we are as an organization. I hope you feel the same.
From November 4-7, the AFS-USA Summit took place in Alexandria, VA. Approximately 90 volunteers and staff from all over the US (and 15 partner staff from all over the world!) were able to attend, plus another 130 volunteers and staff who registered to join parts of the Summit virtually. Read on for a recap, videos, photos, and other resources from the weekend. Thank you to all who made this year’s Summit a success!
We interviewed some of the most impactful global citizens in our community to share what drives them to be a part of AFS. Read their inspiring testimonials at afsusa.org/impact.
Join us in celebrating IEW! Volunteers can find resources and information in the Promote AFS section of Help & Learning.
Listen to and share the latest episode of our podcast featuring an interview with Steve Riford, an AFS Ambulance Driver during WWII.
