AFS-USA Area Teams throughout the country have been facilitating and experiencing student arrivals. These iconic AFS moments – when students arrive and meet their host families and volunteers – are occasions that many teams haven’t experienced since the student arrivals in 2019!
Doesn’t it feel great to be welcoming new AFSers at airports in cities across the USA?
With the first round of student arrivals wrapping up, I’d like to ask that you join me for a Town Hall this Tuesday, August 17th, at 8:00PM EDT. Let’s celebrate AFS-USA’s return to a semblance of normalcy and the hard work that all of us have dedicated to this achievement. We’ll also talk about students who are waiting for placements or welcome families so that we can wrap up this placement season and celebrate even more!
To register for the AFS-USA Town Hall, click here. Once registered, you’ll receive details for joining the virtual event. I’d also like to invite you to submit questions that I can address when we gather on Tuesday. You’re welcome to share inspiring stories as well – and I hope to share some of them during the Town Hall. After all, it’s an exciting time for all of us and, judging from the photos I’ve seen, there’s lots to share. Click here to submit your questions and stories.
Thank you for helping AFS-USA “bounce back” from the greatest threat our organization has ever faced. I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday. |
