As part of the AFS-USA campaign to recruit Welcome Families for our exchange students who have not yet been matched with a host family, we’ve updated this article on Help & Learning with a variety of new resources! These resources include easy-to-use talking points, social media templates, email templates, and more. We recently updated this blog post, which includes FAQs and information to:
- Outline the benefits of being a welcome family
- Describe the impact of hosting, even in short term
- Provide testimonials of students who had great experiences with their Welcome Family
We encourage you to use these resources when recruiting families, or as a jumping off point to generate new ideas and start conversations!
