BP Scholarship Judges Needed!

The Scholarships Team is gearing up to review scholarship applications for our NH20 BP Global STEM Academies. We are inviting all AFS Staff, Returnees, and Volunteers to play a part in selecting candidates. Complete the Scholarship Judge registration and select the BP Global STEM Academies scholarship by Monday, April 20th.

Yoshi Hattori Memorial Scholarship Update

Our 2021 Yoshi Hattori Memorial Scholarship webpage is now up and running! To learn more about the scholarship, see our update below and click on the blue link to visit our webpage.

• Yoshi Hattori Memorial Scholarship    Merit and Need-based
  • Now includes both merit and need-based components
  • Students interested in participating in a year program to Japan
  • No previous language experience is required
  • One (1) student will be awarded a full scholarship
  • New Deadline: Thursday, September 17, 2020

NH20 National Scholarship Updates

• Helen “Peggie” Miller Scholarship   Merit and Need-based
  • Available to students interested in any semester or year program
  • Video submission and Financial Aid application (FAST) required
  • One (1) student will be awarded $5,000
  • New Deadline: Thursday, April 30, 2020

• Pride Scholarship    Merit
  • Available for students who openly-identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and/or Queer
  • Up to four (4) students will be awarded up to $4,000
  • New Deadline: Thursday, April 30, 2020

• Global Leaders Need-based Scholarship  Need-based
  • Available for students who qualify as need-based
  • Required completion of the FAST application
  • Award range varies based upon program length ($500-$2,000)
  • Deadline:  None, available on a rolling basis
