This year, through the Peter J. Westort Volunteer Leadership Award, AFS-USA chaperones will be welcome to apply for one of four $500 stipends to be awarded to four volunteer chaperones in the coming year.
The Volunteer Recognition Committee would like to remind you that it is awards season. Do you know someone who is always there to help, is willing to take on a new role, and is a great TEAM player and believes in the AFS mission?
The AFS-USA Volunteer Recognition Awards are designed to recognize the many contributions that Volunteers, Area Teams, and Chapters make to advance the mission of AFS-USA. The Volunteer Recognition Committee encourages you to consider Volunteers and Teams who epitomize the ideals of AFS-USA and nominate them today!
This award recognizes an outstanding volunteer who has made a significant impact in promoting the core values and mission of AFS through their leadership. We eagerly await the announcement of the 2021 Mission Award Recipient who will be announced at the AFS Summit in November. We look forward to celebrating with volunteers in person and virtually when all award recipients are announced on Sunday, November 7.
These awards are the most prestigious the AFS Global Network of Partners bestows on volunteers and are designed to recognize the various and different types of contributions people can make.
