As we approach Liaison Linking season for the NH21 cycle, we’re happy to share an improvement to the Liaison Assignment Widget.

We have added the option to link a Support Coordinator to the existing list of volunteer assignments that can be linked to a Student and Host Family. The options now include:

• Liaison
• Welcome Liaison
• Associate Support Coordinator
• Support Coordinator

This change will better allow Area Teams to reflect the actual roles held by Support leadership in each team. It is important that Area Teams assign an Associate Support Coordinator and/or Support Coordinator as applicable to their support structure to correctly inform all staff of local support contacts and ensure the volunteer support leaders are kept in the loop regarding their assigned students.

It is not a requirement to have an Associate Support Coordinator and/or Support Coordinator assigned to a Student and Host Family, though it is strongly recommended in order to provide additional layers of support locally.
