This article highlights how AFS connects people across countries and across time! Plymouth High School teacher Paul Krzyzaniak reconnects with his childhood friend Mats Bern, an exchange student in 1981-82 whose daughter was assigned to PHS by AFS this year.
“I want to extend a big thank you to the school and the host families that open their hearts and homes to foreign-exchange students,” Mr. Bern said. “You build experiences and learnings for life. I see myself as a result of this. Forty years later I still carry a strong connection to your part of the U.S.”
