On Monday, August 3, 2026, communities across the country will celebrate the power of international exchange — and we want AFS volunteers to join in.
Last week, students from across the United States completed Lewis and Clark: Then and Now, an immersive program that explored the rich history, cultures, and communities of the Pacific Northwest while building the intercultural understanding and AFS Power Skills needed to thrive in today’s interconnected world.
Students from across the U.S. traveled to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, for Pathfinder: NextGen Careers, a one-week immersive experience designed to help young people explore future career pathways while building the AFS Power Skills that prepare them for an interconnected world.
